When setting up an automated feed using SnailBot, there are three main provider types with a few differences between them. We have Gaijin providers, which are designed to support most1 games developed/published by Gaijin Entertainment with two distinct news feeds (devblogs and updates). Generic providers are designed to support most of the games that we provide news for. Finally, there are Generic Param providers, which support Steam and RSS/ATOM feeds. Each provider has different intervals at which news is checked. You can view the table below for more info on each provider.
| Provider Name | Kind | Interval |
|---|---|---|
| warthunder | Gaijin | Every 45 Minutes |
| crossout | Gaijin | Every 45 Minutes |
| enlisted | Generic | Every 1 Hour |
| steam | Generic Param | Every 1 Hour |
| rss | Generic Param | Every 45 Minutes2 |
| smite | Generic | Every 1 Hour |
| forza | Generic | Every 1 Hour |
| blizzard | Generic | Every 1 Hour |
| league | Generic | Every 1 Hour |
| rockstar | Generic | Every 1 Hour |
1 - Enlisted is not a Gaijin provider due to no obvious way to split news and updates.
2 - RSS/ATOM feeds that are determined to be Social feeds (ex. Mastodon), get a 15 minute update interval. Also, any feed that gets repeated failures will get their interval adjusted in an attempt to work around any failures due to Too Many Requests.
